Questions
Why is it free?
Deptford Soccer Association wants every team to be able to play, whatever their budget. Local sponsors, parking and the snack stand pay for referees, medals and the rest of the weekend.
Why is there a deposit?
Free events can get teams that sign up and don't show, which breaks the schedule for everyone. The deposit makes sure the spots go to teams that will play, and you get it back when you do.
What if our team has to drop out?
The withdrawal rules will be posted with registration in February 2027.
How many teams can play?
About 150 teams in 19 brackets of 8: 80 at U9–U10, 48 at U11–U12 and 24 at U13 and older. Cattell has two full-size fields, so the older age groups fill first. When an age group is full, we keep a waitlist.
What does each team get?
Three group games plus a final for the group winners. Games are one hour, with two 20-minute halves. Saturday runs 8 am to about 8 pm, and Sunday is done by 5 pm.
Can teams from outside South Jersey play?
Yes. The tournament is open to youth teams from anywhere.
